NHRC team examine bullet injuries of the accused, likely to meet Dishas family on Sunday

Hyderabad: A day after the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) took cognizance of the alleged 'extra-judicial' killing of the four accused in the gang-rape of Disha, a team from NHRC, on Saturday, examined the four bodies at Mahbubnagar� General Hospital.

The four accused� Mohammed Arif, Jollu Shiva, Jollu Naveen and Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu - involved in the rape and murder� of Disha were gun down on December 6th . Following the alleged encounter, NHRC took cognizance and considered this case as a matter of� concern and needed to be probed carefully.

A� fact-finding team� arrived in� Hyderabad on Saturday (December 7th)� headed by Director General (Investigation). A seven-member team is� led� by senior police officer� Manzil Saini, who visited the hospital� besides the encounter spot. Three forensic doctors from Gandhi hospital headed by Dr. Kripal Singh accompanied the NHRC team at the Hospital.��

According to sources, In the presence of the forensic doctors, the NHRC team examined the bullet injuries on the bodies along with other wounds. 'The officials arrived �at the hospital at around� 1.30 p.m,� interacted with the forensic doctors and collected information from them. They also examined the post-morteum report prepared by the forensic doctors' said a source.�

Following the High Court orders, the� post-morteum proceedings were video-graphed, the doctors from the Gandhi Hospital added.�

The latter, also visited the encounter spot besides the Toll plaza and the open plot where Disha was reportedly raped and murdered.�

The Cyberabad cops who accompanied the NHRC team explained the scene of offence, including the manner in which the charred body of Disha was found at the �Chattanpalli culvert.� �

According to the schedule, the officials are likely meet the family of the Disha on December 8th and may� conclude their� visit on Monday� by submitting a report.�

While the inspection was on, Police maintained tight security at the Mahbubnagar hospital and encounter site.�
