Nigerian deported from Hyderabad by Cyberabad police

Hyderabad : Nigerian nationals visiting India on tourist, education, medical attendant and business visas are making Hyderabad a hub for their other activities. Many indulge in cyber crimes, looting money from gullible internet users through several frauds.

To keep a tab on such foreigners involved in illegal activities, Cybercrime wing of Cyberabad police started a drive. During the programme, they detained a Nigerian national identified as Valentine Kevin hailing from Logos in the country. The police have enquired his involvement in cybercrime cases. While he has no direct involvement in these cases, he was identified to be an accomplice to many activities organised by his friends.

Further inquiries revealed that he came to India in 2014 on a medical attendant visa and landed in Hyderabad. Though his visa expired, he was staying illegally in the city since then and helping his counterparts indulge in illegal activities. He was detained and deported to Nigeria through the Bureau of Immigration.
