Nizamabad electrical inspector caught accepting Rs 70 K bribe

Hyderabad: The sleuths of Anti-Corruption-Bureau (ACB) caught red-handed T Kantha Rao, an electrical Inspector of Nizamabad district for accepting bribe of Rs 70,000.
The ACB officials, on June 10th, laid a trap and caught the accused at his residence in Lingampally of Narayanguda. The electrical inspector, demanded bribe from complainant K Rajeshwar to issue an approval certificate’ in respect of distribution of transformer at Ramagundam in Mancheriyal district.
Investigation also found that the accused demanded bribe of Rs 50,000 in May 2020. The ACB seized the cash and arrested the accused on Tuesday. The man was produced before the court and sent to judicial remand.
