No berth has brat Nayani ‘sulk’

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has come under heavy criticism not only from the Opposition but also from his party men after he expanded his Cabinet on Sunday.

Former minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy who was denied a berth in the latest Cabinet expansion said, “KCR failed on his promise to induct me in the Cabinet. He asked me to be in the Council and promised a Cabinet berth when I wanted to contest for Assembly.”

Mr Narasimha while speaking to a reporter on Monday said, “We are all owners of TRS and KCR is the head. It is for tenants to decide how long to stay.” His words were likely hitting out at Sabita Indra Reddy who was given a portfolio in Cabinet. Ms Indra Reddy after a long stint with the Congress had joined the TRS recently.

The former home minister expected the TRS to give him the Musheerabad Assembly segment in the 2018 elections. He tried hard to get an Assembly ticket for his son-in-law Srinivasa Reddy. But in vain. He was again hopeful of being inducted into the Cabinet to which he was again disappointed.
