Hyderabad: Telangana school education department has requested all the school managements not to schedule any exams from January 1, 2021 to March 15, 2021 due to National Population Register (NPR) updation and House listing process for Census of India-2021 in the state.

Census of India-2021 is scheduled to be conducted in 2021. House Listing, House census and updation of NPR in Telangana state would be conducted from January 1, 2021 to Marcy 15, 2021.

Education department has asked state schools to not to schedule any examination during this time. Telangana school education department has issued these instructions after Registrar General and Census Commissioner formally requested it not to conduct any examinations during the period of Training and Field operations of Census 2021.

“It is a national duty so we have to cooperate with the government to conduct the process of Census 2021 peacefully. We will definitely reschedule the examinations if any during January 1, 2021 to March 15, 2021,” Srinivas Reddy, President Telangana Recognized School Managements Association (TRSMA), told Newsmeter.

Chava Ravi, General Secretary of Telangana State United Teachers Federation (TSUTF) told Newsmeter that exam dates must be re scheduled. ”Trainings must be scheduled in consultation with Education department to avoid any overlapping with Census-2021”, he said.
