One arrested in doctor’s suicide case in Krishna district

Hyderabad: The East Godavari police has nabbed V.V.V. Prasad, the native of Krishna district, in connection with the suicides of Dr P. Ramakrishnam Raju, his wife and their elder son. Amalapuram DSP Sheik Masoom Basha told the media on Tuesday that the accused Prasad with the help of another three persons had collected Rs.5 crore from the deceased doctor in the name rice pulling machine.

The gang deceived Dr.Raju, the resident of Amalapuram and allegedly told him that he would be out of all financial worries if he bought the rice pulling machines. Raju fell for his words gave the money to them. This is how the culprits managed to collect Rs.5 crore from Dr Raju, which even he had borrowed from others.

Eventually, the doctor realized that he had been deceived and decided to end his life along with his wife and two children. But the younger son Dr Krishna Vamsi didn’t give in to his father’s idea and asked his family members to wait until he returned.

However, by the time he arrived, his three family members had already committed suicide. On the complaint given by Krishna Vamsi, the police have filed a case and arrested Prasad. The DSP presented Prasad before the media and told that they were searching for the other three culprits Anantaramulu, Shavalin, and Srinivas.
