One killed, two critical as car rams into truck at Shamshabad

Hyderabad, Jan 19: One person died and three others were severely injured when a car crashed into a truck on the Outer Ring Road at Shamshabad on Sunday. The truck was parked on the ORR carriageway at the time of the incident.

According to police, four persons were in a car travelling from Gachibowli towards Pedda Amberpet. Meanwhile at Pedda Golconda village limits of Shamshabad, a truck was parked on the road, due to a break-down.

As the driver of the truck did not take any precautions to indicate, it was not visible. Meanwhile, the driver of the car did not notice the parked truck and crashed into it from the rear, leading to the ghastly mishap.

Police said one person died on the spot with multiple injuries, while three others sustained injuries. They were admitted to a private hospital and the condition of two is said to be critical. Police registered a case against the truck driver on charges of causing death due to negligence, for parking the vehicle on the ORR without taking any precautions.
