Vijayawada:Andhra Pradesh reported one more Covid-19 death, raising the death toll due to coronavirus to 50 in the state on Sunday.

A total of 25 fresh Covid-19 cases have emerged in the state, taking the total tally of positive cases to 2,230.

For the first time in the past few weeks, Andhra Pradesh reported lowest number, 25 Covid-19 cases on Sunday. On the brighter side, 103 patients, highest number of patients in a single day, were discharged this morning.

Of the 25 fresh cases, one case each from Chittoor and Kurnool, linked to the Koyambedu market in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Srikakulam district reported 7 new cases in the past 24 hours, Chittoor and Guntur districts reported 4 cases each. Vizag, Prakasam and Kurnool districts reported 3 cases each and Nellore reported one case. Krishna district reported one Covid-19 death.

The number of discharged in the state continues to be more than the fresh cases reported. Now, the number of discharged patients stands at 1,433.

A total of 9,880 samples were tested between 9 am on Saturday 9 am on Sunday.

Kurnool district continued to be the table topper with 611 cases, highest in the state, followed by Guntur district with 417 cases and Krishna district at 367 cases.

So far, Kurnool district reported 19 Covid deaths followed by Krishna district at 15 deaths and Guntur district with 8 deaths.

Anantapur district reported 4 Covid-19 deaths and Nellore district reported 3 deaths while Visakhapatnam district reported one death.
