District magistrate of Jammu Sushma Chauhan has issued an order imposing 144 CRPC given prevailing situation in the state and to prevent a breach of peace and tranquillity. The magistrate said in the order, "144 CRPC will come into effect from 6.00 am on Monday. There shall be no assembly of four or more persons, any pre-planned congregation shall be conducted only with the prior approval of district magistrate. As a measure of caution, it is advised to keep the schools and colleges both government and private and other academic institutions shall be closed. Examinations are also postponed.
Internet services have been suspended in Jammu province. Paramilitary forces and Rapid Action Forces were deployed in large numbers. Pilgrims and tourists have already evacuated the Himalayan State. Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Jammu and Kashmir.
