Pak, China red-faced: United Nations Security Council says 370 India's internal matter

New Delhi: The United Nations Security Council appreciated the measures taken by India to relax curbs in Kashmir Valley and said steps are taken in rights directions by India.
India's UN permanent representative Syed Akbaruddin told media after the meeting on Friday that UNSC recognised abrogation of Article 370 of Indian constitution as an internal matter.
A closed-door meeting was held in UNSC to discuss Kashmir matter after Pakistan filed a complaint backed by China. However, the decision of UNSC came as a disappointment for both the nations.
Speaking to ANI Syed Akbaruddin said," We’re committed to gradually removing all restrictions. Since the change is internal to India, have not made any difference to our external orientation. India remains committed to ensure that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir remains calm and peaceful.”
