Police arrests seven after two rival gangs clashed in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Nearly two months after the gang war in Vijayawada , in which one youngster Thota Sandeep was murdered, another gang war reported, Police arrested seven persons involved.
Though the gang war took place on the night of July 31, it came to light on Monday after the police nabbed seven persons.
Sources said the clashes occurred when Putta Vinay and his friend were traveling on a bike on July 31 night. Rival gangsters attacked the duo with sharp-edged weapons causing them injuries.
Based on the complaint from Putta Vinay, a team of the Ajit Singh Nagar police station led by Inspector SVV Lakshmi Narayana arrested seven persons.
They have been identified as Shiek Nagul Meera alias Munna alias Banda, Sheik Eesubu, L Sai Kumar, K Sai Kumar, N Sai Pawan, K Jagan Mohan (a native of Telangana) and T Jagadeeh.
Police also seized a bike and knives from the gang members. They were produced before the court, which sent them on remand.
It may be recalled that over two months ago, two groups of Thota Sandeep and Manikanta alias Pandu clashed with each other over land dispute. Later Pandu, who happened to be a small-time local TikTok star was booked for murdering Sandeep.
