Project Authority differs with Jagan govt on reverse tendering for Polavaram

Hyderabad : While the YS Jagan government in Andhra Pradesh is keen on Reverse Tendering in Polavaram, the Polavaram Project Authority (PPA) seems to have a different view altogether.

In an emergency meeting held in Hyderabad on Tuesday, the members felt that Reverse Tendering would seriously affect the project’s completion time and hence it was not preferable at this juncture.

Meanwhile, the members expressed satisfaction over the working of contract agencies involved in the Polavaram construction works.

It may be recalled that Polavaram Project Authority was constituted by the Centre in 2014 to co-ordinate between the Centre and Andhra Pradesh for smooth completion of the project.
