Questioned for shoddy relief, TRS corporator's husband threatens party worker

Hyderabad Police have launched an investigation after an audio clip went viral in which AS Rao Nagar division corporator Pavani Reddy’s husband Manipal Reddy is purportedly heard threatening a local TRS worker who questioned the process of distributing essentials to needy people during the lockdown.
Raji Reddy, a resident of Maruti Nagar of Jammi Gadda under AS Rao Nagar division has filed a complaint at Jawahar Nagar police station, alleging that Mahipal Reddy had abused him over the phone on Wednesday.
According to Raji Reddy, he along with his friends had submitted a list of needy people to the corporator and her husband. But when the benefits did not reach the people, they questioned the corporator and her husband.
Raji Reddy also posted a message on WhatsApp groups questioning the delay in disbursing the benefits. Angry over the issue, Manipal Reddy allegedly called up Raji Reddy and threatened him with dire consequences.
Later the audio clip went viral in which Manipal Reddy is purportedly heard threatening Raji Reddy. He also warned Raji Reddy not to share any information on the WhatsApp.
