Rachakonda cops save land in Bibi nagar arrest four crooks

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police booked seven members of a gang for grabbing land in the Bibinagar area of Telangana. The police arrested four of them on 29 September while three others are absconding.

The arrested have been identified as Golanukonda Muthyalu, Vadde Sathaiah, Gudeboina Shyam Prasad, and Mohd. Anwar

Vadde Sathaiah owned 3.01 acres of land in Bibinagar village. In 1995, he decided to sell it and approached a real-estate broker Golanukonda Muthyalu who in turn arranged a buyer. Pakkiru Bal Reddy agreed to purchase the land and a neighbouring property that belonged to Somu Balamallaiah's family.

In the same year, Somu Balamallaiah executed a GPA document in favour of Pakkiru Bal Reddy and Muthyalu was a witness. After the transaction, Pakkiru Bal Reddy took possession of the land. Later, the same land was divided into plots and sold to customers.

However, Vadde Sathaiah had hatched a plan to resell the property to others for illegal gains. He approached revenue officials and entered into an agreement to sell the same under the name of Golanukonda Muthyalu. The land was re-sold for Rs. 10 lakhs.

Recently, another accused, Gundeboina Shyam Prasad, who is currently absconding, and his associates entered the land that had been sold in 1995 and removed boundary stones and leveled the plots for development. The original owners spotted the development works and filed a complaint with the police.

Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against the seven. They arrested four persons while three others are absconding.
