Rachakonda Police nabs three inter-state drug dealers, seize 51 kg of ganja

Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police arrested 3 inter-state Drug Dealers on Thursday. The sleuths of Special Operations Team, LB Nagar Zone along with the Ghatkesar Police seized the property worth Rs 10.37 lakhs.

According to the police, the accused bought the drugs from Visakhapatnam to transport it to Shirdi, Maharashtra. They hid the drugs underneath the seats, inside side doors and bonnet of their car.

The accused are selling Ganja in and around Hyderabad since last three years. They buy the drugs from Dhaorakonda, Visakhapatnam at cheaper rate at Rs. 2000 per Kg and sell it in higher rates at Rs.7000 per Kg in Hyderabad.

The accused arrested are – Dharavath Vamshi Nayak, Dharavath Raju Naik and Jatavath Ratanlal. The two accused absconding are – Amagoth Nagaraju and Karan. The accused – Dharavath Vamshi Nayak and Amagoth Nagaraju were previously involved in similar cases in Visakhapatnam and Warangal. The police seized 51 Kg’s of Ganja, an Innova car, 2 mobile phones and Rs.4,500.

The accused were arrested at Outer Ring Road, Ghatkesar Tollgate. They are charged under Section 20(1)(b) (produces, manufactures, possesses, sells, purchases, transports, imports inter-State, exports inter-State or uses cannabis, shall be punishable) of the NDPS Act.
