Hyderabad: A Hyderabad-based advocate shared her contact number on ‘Just-dial’ platform in order to get more number of clients and cases but had no clue that the move would end up in a police case.

The accused, M. Durga Prasad, 27, reached out to her with regard to a legal issue in the court. He wanted the advocate to argue his case. On the pretext of sending her a few documents, Prasad began chatting via WhatsApp. Days later, he sent her obscene videos and photos resulting in a police complaint. The She team, Rachakonda, booked him under 354 (D) 509 of IPC and section 67(A) of IT Act at Cyber Crime PS.

The She teams of Rachakonda police booked 140 cases (90 FIRs, 44 petty cases) against eve-teasers in the last six months and apprehended 117, out of whom 105 are majors and 12 minors.
