Rainfall likely to occur in few districts of Telangana on Jan

Hyderabad: The regional Indian Meterological Department (IMD) in its fresh forecast announced that, parts of Telangana may received light to moderate rainfall ( that is between 2.5mm to 15.5mm) for the next two days; 8th and 9th of January respectively.

According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) Mahabubnagar district of Telangana, on Tuesday received a 2.8mm of rainfall, the highest in the state.

Districts in Telangana have been registering moderate rainfall, the year has begun on a wet note.

According to the weather men, districts like Adilabad and Karimnagar can expect some rain on Wednesday. Hyderabad may not receive rains, says the IMD report

Mr Mahesh Palawat of Skymet Weather, a private weather forecasting body explained, “Northern districts of Telangana, Vidarbha, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh may see light to moderate rains; this is due a turf formed over the area. While Telangana will not have much of rainfall. The intensity of rainfall is will be high in Vidarbha region and Uttar Pradesh.”

The New Year for Telangana began with rains due to easterly winds from Bay of Bengal. Weather observer Palawat added , “After two days the turf (depression ) will move towards Uttar Pradesh from Telangana, the Temperature may drop by 2 - 3 degree Celsius. We expect very light rain to prevail in Telangana on January 9.”

The minimum temperature recorded in winter this year, reached to 7 degree Celsius in Adilabad . However the degrees dropped with the arrival of rain in the first week of January.

Forecast for State :

Light to moderate rain or thunder showers very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana.

Hyderabad on January 8th

Partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain. With maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be around 28 and 19 degrees, respectively
