Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police arrested two men on 11 September for possessing the banned psychotropic substance drug Mephedrone.

The accused have been identified as Manoj Kumar Panwar (24) and Manohar Bishnoi (26), both from Rajasthan.

According to the police, Manohar came to Hyderabad six months ago looking for a job. He found work at a shop in Meerpet but it did not pay enough.

Meanwhile, Manoj contacted Manohar and asked him to sell Mephedrone and make some easy money. Manoj agreed to pay him Rs. 20,000 per month if he could sell one gram for Rs. 3,000-3,500.

On 10 September, Manohar was waiting for prospective customers near the Polytechnic Bus Stop at Amberpet when the police apprehended him. They found three packets of MD, each containing one gm, and two cellphones. He confessed and led the police to Manoj’s house, who was also arrested.
