Ram Charan starrer Rangasthalam wins big at SIIMA 2019

The eighth edition of South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) is taking place in Qatar on August 15 and 16 amid a huge gala. On Thursday, the winners list for Telugu and Kannada categories were officially announced.

What is SIIMA?

SIIMA (South Indian International Movie Awards) is a collaboration by the South Indian movie industry to reward the artists and technicians who work in South Indian movies.

On the occasion, Ram Charan starrer Rangasthalam bagged the maximum number of awards, while Ram Charan won the ‘Best Actor’ award for his performance. Keerthy Suresh, a National Award winner, also won the ‘Best Actress’ award for her acting in Mahanati.

Vijay Deverakonda, the current sensation in South Indian Cinema has bagged the ‘Best Actors’ award in the ‘Critics Choice’ category. Actress Payal Rajput grabbed the ‘Best Debutant’ award while Sukumar bagged the ‘Best Director’ award.

Best Debut Actor (Female): Payal Rajput for RX 100

Best Music Director: Devi Sri Prasad for Rangasthalam

Best Playback Singer (Female): MM Manasi for 'Rangamma Mangamma' in Rangasthalam

Best Play Back Singer (Male): Anurag Kulkarni for 'Pilla Ra' in RX 100

Best Lyrics Writer: Chandra Bose for 'Yentha Sakkagunave' in Rangasthalam

Best Cinematographer: Rathnavelu for Rangasthalam
