Hyderabad: Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s ’83 — a biopic on Kapil Dev, Indian Cricket team captain of the 1983 World Cup-winning team. The film has been making headlines since it launched. Initially, not many could believe that Ranveer would be able to step into the shoes of Kapil. However, it is said that the director and the films’ team is amazed by Ranveer’s efforts he put in to become Kapil.

Additionally, Ranveer’s real-life beau Deepika will play his on-screen wife as well. This is the couple’s first movie together after their marriage, and fans are expecting a lot more. The actress has transformed into Romi Dev, much to the amazement of the real Romi.

Officially, the team has wrapped up their shooting and celebrated their progress in a pub. The movie’s director Kabir Singh, along with his wife Mini Mathur —a popular television host — was also present at the event.

If their bond, passion, training, positivity, warmth, talent and vibe is anything to go by, #83thefilm will be a real treat! (sic).”
