Hyderabad: Rash driving by teenager kills two

Hyderabad: A 14-month-old boy and his grandmother died when an SUV with a minor behind the wheel rammed into the auto-rickshaw they were travelling in at Bowenpally, in the city.

According to police, C Sandhya Rani of KPHB, along with her twin sons Madhav and Mahadev and her mother Nagamani, were travelling in an auto-rickshaw from KPHB to Yapral, when the SUV struck them. At Dairy farm road near Alaala, the SUV rammed into the vehicle from the front. Mahadev and Nagamani succumbed to injuries at the hospital, while the others including the auto driver sustained injuries.

Inquiries revealed that the vehicle belongs to an Alwal resident who's16-year-old son was driving it at the time of the accident.
