Registrar and their sub-ordinates asked to go on a holiday: T Govt

Hyderabad: In a move that has surprised the officials serving in the state revenue department, The Telangana government declared holidays for officials working in registration and stamps department. The move indicates the government's long-standing plan to revamp the revenue wing.

A Government order issued on Monday, stated, "Holidays are declared from 8th of September 2020 until further orders for all the registrar and Sub-registrar office in the state in respect in respect of all registrations services under the registration Act, 1908. However, registrations of will deeds, administrations of marriages and franking services shall continue as usual'.

Meanwhile the monsoon session of the Telangana legislative assembly began on Monday, while a cabinet meeting has been announced to be held on the same evening. According to officials, a New revenue bill is likely to be introduced in the ongoing assembly session that will end on 28th of September.
