Report on 13 missing cases in Hyderabad : TSHRC to DGP Mahender Reddy

Hyderabad: Telangana State Human Rights Commission (TSHRC) Chairperson Justice G Chandraiah issued a notice to state DGP M Mahender Reddy on missing cases reported in different parts of Hyderabad. The commission has taken action suo moto based on a news report published in a vernacular daily. The commission directed the DGP to file a report in one month, detailing the steps that have been taken to trace out thirteen missing persons.

The missing cases were reported at Dundigal, Chilakalguda, Vanasthalipuram, Balanagar, Dilsukhnagar, Barkatpura, Kalapathar, Chandanagar and Neredmet. The missing persons include a mother and her newborn child, six other women, two girls, and three boys. All of whom went missing on Friday and Saturday.

In all the incidents, missing cases have been registered at respective police stations and the investigation is underway. Meanwhile, TSHRC has asked Telangana DGP to file a detailed report on the cases and the status of the investigation.
