Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has said that the process of restoration and easing restrictions is in process in the Kashmir valley and that most of the telephone exchanges in the valley would be functional by tomorrow evening. Until now 17 telephone exchanges have been made functional. In Jammu the landline service has been restored and mobile service has been restored in five districts.

Government spokesperson Rohit Kansal said, “Relaxation has been given in 35 police stations across the valley. Administration is monitoring the situation and no untoward incident has been reported from anywhere in the valley.”

Schools beginning from primary-level shall open from Monday. Besides, all government offices will start functioning normally from the same day, Mr Kansal added.
