Retired BSF constable commits suicide in Tirupati

Tirupati: A retired BSF constable reportedly committed suicide with a pistol on Saturday which came to light when his dead body found at Leela Mahal Centre in the city. The deceased was identified as D Siddharamu, and the police said family disputes led him to take an extreme step committing suicide.

Siddharamu is from Kondareddygari Palli of KV Palli Mandal in Chittoor district, and he retired from the service as a constable in the Border Security Force four months ago. He is residing in Sundaraiah Colony in Tirupati town, and he survived by two children.

On Saturday, the passersby identified the dead body of the retired constable at the burial ground near Leela Mahal and informed the police. Tirupati East Police shifted the dead body of the person to the SV Ruia hospital for postmortem, and they registered a case.
