Retired IAF officer commits suicide, blames Chidambaram for Economic downfall

Delhi: A retired Air Force personnel of Assam allegedly committed suicide in a hotel room in Uttar Pradesh and also left a suicide note addressing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In the note, deceased Bijan Das wrote that it's not Modi Govt but former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram who is responsible for the economic slowdown in the country. It was Chidambaram's policies then and scams during the UPA regime which has led to this situation, the letter read.

The 55-year-old retired IAF officer reportedly hanged himself from the ceiling fan of his hotel room at UP's Allahbad where he was staying.

He also left some money to pay the bills of the hotel while in his long suicide not he urged the PM to take care of his family especially his son who is said to be an aspiring singer.
