ACB nabs corrupt  revenue inspector in Andhra

A revenue inspector serving at Parvathipuram Municipality – Vizianagaram district of AP was trapped by the sleuths of Anti Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe of Rs 2. 8 lakh . The accused Patireddy Sankara was caught red-handed at the portico of the municipal office when accepting the cash from complainant Rongali Srinivasa Rao, a resident of Kamakshinagar – Cantonment- Vizianagaram town.

The bribe demanded was for official favour, i.e to process and reduce the assessment of property tax for the newly constructed a building owned by the complainant's wife Ms. Rongali Bhavani, located in Parvathipuram Municipality. The current building has been rented out to Sri Chaitanya School.

The ACB arrested the accused officer and produced him before the special court for ACB cases, besides recovering the bribe amount.
