Hyderabad: Gates of Narachi have finally opened, precisely after a year. Right after a year since the release of Kannada blockbuster film KGF: Chapter 1, the makers have unveiled the first look of KGF: Chapter 2, the sequel to the first part.

The shooting of the sequel has been going on at a brisk pace since a year now, and as a part of the first anniversary celebrations of team KGF, the makers have given a surprise to the ardent fans of the film.

On December 14, the makers announced that the first look poster of KGF: Chapter 2 will be released on December 21 at 5:45 PM on social media. It is to be noted that the first part of KGF released worldwide on December 21, 2018.

Prashanth Neel, the director of the film, took to his Twitter handle to share the first look and wrote, “WHEN ROCKY IS UNSTOPPABLE Rebuilding An Empire!!! Here We Go #KGFChapter2FirstLook @hombalefilms @TheNameIsYash @prashanth_neel @duttsanjay @VKiragandur @SrinidhiShetty7 @bhuvangowda84 @BasrurRavi @Karthik1423 @AAFilmsIndia @excelmovies @FarOutAkhtar @ritesh_sid @VaaraahiCC.” (sic)

The first look features Yash in a bell-bottom clad and is seen raising a pillar along with the mineworkers at the gold mine. The caption reads, ‘Rebuilding an empire’ and raises expectations on the film.

The sequel has Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty and others in lead roles. Earlier, it was announced that Sanjay Dutt is playing Adheera in this film and the character is called a mysterious one. Also, it is said that Raveena Tandon will be playing the Prime Minister, modelled after former PM Indira Gandhi.

The film, which will be releasing in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, will have music composed by Ravi Basrur and cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda. The film is expected to hit the screens next summer, and an official date is yet to be announced.

Yash has become popular all over India after playing Rocky Bhai and the fan following he has now is just huge. The first part ends with Rocky Bhai taking down Garuda to become the leader of KGF, and the sequel will continue from there.
