Roof collapses during Muharram celebrations in Kurnool dist, 15 injured

Kurnool: In an unfortunate incident at Muharram celebration, a roof extension collapsed injuring 15 people. The injured were immediately taken to Government General hospital, Kurnool for treatment. Of the 15 people, five are known to have sustained critical injuries.

The incident took place at Bandameedi Tandrapadu village on the intervening morning of Tuesday.

According to information, the injured were watching a dance program organized by the village from the house rooftops. The roof extension could not hold the number of people and suddenly collapse on the people stationed under

Taluka police on learning about the incident rushed to the spot and took the stock to control.
