Hyderabad: Undoubtedly, RRR is the most awaited film of the year. The shooting of the Rajamouli directorial is progressing at a brisk pace.

Starring Ram Charan Tej, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakhani and Olivia Morris in key roles, the film was expected to be released on July 30. However, the latest is that it will reportedly hit the screens only around Dasara. Produced by DVV Danayya against Rs 350 crore budget, RRR comes with a lot of expectations.

According to sources, action sequences between a Tiger and Jr NTR have been shot recently during the Bulgarian schedule. A video of the sequence even got leaked on social media and has gone viral. This is not the first time videos from Rajamouli’s films have been leaked before the film’s release.

RRR is said to be inspired by Hollywood movie ‘The 300’, in which the hero in his youthful days and a wild wolf are involved in a fight in the jungle. Reports say that Rajamouli has been inspired by this fight and he has made some changes to the sequence to suit the script.

Often, Rajamouli gets inspired by Hollywood action scenes and he has never shied away from revealing that he replicates those scenes in his films. He carefully weaves them together and gives a different look, altogether.

RRR is a period-drama, which is set against the backdrop of pre-Independence era. Jr NTR is playing Komaram Bheem and Charan has stepped into the shoes of Alluri Sitaramaraju.

Ajay Devgn began shooting recently and he took to his social media account to share that it’s an honour to be working with Rajamouli. He wrote, “My association with @SSRajamouli Sir dates back to 2012. We’ve collaborated in many interesting ways since. Working with him in #RRR is an honour & pleasure.” (sic)

Apart from Telugu, Hindi and Tamil, the film is being made in ten languages and the shoot will be completed in a couple of months. VFX work will be taking a long time, according to sources.
