Ruling party MLA accuses TDP leaders of caste discrimination

Hyderabad: Tadikonda MLA Undavalli Sridevi claimed that she was allegedly subjected to caste discrimination on the eve of Vinayaka Chaturthi on Monday. While speaking to media persons on Tuesday, she described how she was humiliated in the name of caste by some Telugu Desam leaders. “Some leaders of Telugu Desam have abused me. They commented that Lord Vinayaka will be defiled if I touch the idol,” Sridevi lamented.

The MLA alleged that the opposition leaders had targeted her as she was digging out the corruption of them. She blamed Chandrababu Naidu that he was indirectly encouraging caste bias. She recalled the comments of Chandrababu against the Dalits when he was the Chief Minister. The ruling party MLA demanded that the TDP supremo be arrested for harassing Dalits in the capital.

Sridevi told the media that she had made a complaint to DGP and superintendent of police of Guntur district against the TDP leaders. She warned that the Dalits would rebel against the opposition leaders very soon.
