Saand Ki Aankh trailer: Taapsee and Bhumi creates an inspiration to women of all ages

Hyderabad: Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar-starring Saand Ki Aankh, unveiled its trailer, making audiences say, “Iss Diwali, bas goliyan aur taliyan chalegi!” This much-awaited film on the world’s oldest sharpshooters — Chandro (86) and Prakashi (82) Tomar — will hit screens on Diwali.

The trailer gives us a glimpse of the powerful and robust dialogues the film has on offer. Especially considering the two powerhouse performers giving it life. The trailer opens with Bhumi Pednekar unknowingly hitting the bull’s eye. The coach gets impressed with the Tomar sisters’ skills and begins mentoring them for competitions. Once their family head realises what these women are up to behind his back, he becomes angry and burns down the village. However, the sisters decide to fight for their rights and for the other women in the village.

The trailer indicates that this will be another in a line of women-inspiring movies. Bhumi and Taapsee effortlessly stepped into Chandro and Prakashi’s (respectively) lives and nailed the dialect and body language. It is necessary to add that their make-up requires two to three hours of preparation to make it perfect.

The film also has director Prakash Jha and Mukkabaaz actor Vineet Singh in crucial roles. The film went on floors in February in Meerut and is set in the rural areas of Uttar Pradesh.

The film, jointly produced by Anurag Kashyap and Nidhi Parmar, marks the directorial debut of Tushar Hiranandani, who is popular for penning dialogues for Main Tera Hero, Ek Villain and Half Girlfriend.
