Hyderabad: Known as one who speaks her mind, Sania Mirza says she is not afraid of presenting her journey in front of the camera. She has already confirmed that a biopic on her life is in the pipeline and initial work is already underway. The movie will be produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
The multiple doubles Grand Slam winner says that she is excited about the new assignment. "Discussions are still on. Whoever has followed my career right from the start knows what sort of a person I am. I don't hide anything in my heart. I do what I feel like doing. Whatever it is, I just say it out. That's the same reason why I am not afraid of presenting my journey on the silver screen," says Sania, who has often courted controversy with her utterances, including about the Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi showdown or her marriage to Shoaib Malik and fatwas against skirts.
She adds, "Everyone loves winners. But they don't know the hardships and struggles it takes to reach exalted position in professional sport. "
She also appreciated her fellow-athletes and said "Many people like me have grown to be champions from nothing by representing the country".
Sania Mirza recently made a triumphant comeback to the courts while winning the Hobart International women doubles title along with Nadiia Kichenok.
