Hyderabad: Two school girls stole a garland made of Rs 10 notes draped around a Ganesha idol from a pandal on Thursday. The incident occurred at the Yuva Friends Association's Ganesha pandal located behind the Government Hospital at Sithaphalmandi.

As seen on CCTV footage, the girls who were in their school uniforms entered the pandal when the volunteers had all gone for lunch. The walked towards the idol and removed three rows of the garland of notes draped around the idol. They tucked the stolen notes in their uniform and left the place immediately.
