SCR to run 20 Medaram Jatara special trains  

Hyderabad: In keeping with the heavy rush and the thousands who will descend for Medaram Jatara, the South Central Railway (SCR) will run 20 special trains in order to clear the extra rush of passengers.

The special train service will be launched on two routes-Secunderabad-Warangal-Hyderabad and Sirpur Kagazhanagr-Warangal. Each route will have 10 services said officials, adding that they will have second class seating coaches.

Accordingly, Train No. 07014 will run in Secunderabad-Warangal route from February 4 to 8. The train will depart Secunderabad at 12pm and will arrive in Warangal at 15:40. In the return direction, train No.07015 from Warangal to Hyderabad will depart at 17:45 hours and reach Hyderabad by 21:40 hours.

The train will stop at Cherlapalli, Alar, Pindial, among others.

On the second route, Train No. 07017 will depart from Sirpur Kagazhanagr at 5:30 hours and arrive in Warangal at 9:30 hrs. In the return direction, Train No. 07018 will depart from Warangal at 11 am and arrive at Sirpur Kagazhanagr by 3 pm.

The special trains, which will be run from February 4-8, will stop at Mancherial, Kolanur, Uppal and others.

Medaram Jatara or Sammakka Saralamma Jatara in Mulugu town of Warangal is all set to begin on February 5. As many as 10,000 police personnel and 330 cameras are in place for the Jatara, which attracts millions of devotees from across Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
