Security breach at Gun Park after youth tries to block KCR’s convoy

Hyderabad: A major security breach occurred at Gun Park when a youth slipped through the tight cordon and tried to block chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s convoy, even as unemployed youth staged protests near the venue of Telangana day celebrations.

As the Chief Minister arrived at the Gun Park to pay tributes to Telangana martyrs, a large number of unemployed youth thronged the site to register their protest.

Though they could manage to come close, they could not reach the memorial due to the heavy police presence.

When the Chief Minister’s convoy started from the venue, a youngster managed to slip through the tight security cordon and reached near the convoy. He was however pulled off the track and the convoy moved ahead without any obstruction. He was later detained and shifted to a police station.



Hyderabad city police along with the Special Branch and task force sleuths are questioning the youth about his motive.

Meanwhile, even as Chief Minister was paying tributes to martyrs at the Gun Park, the surroundings reverberated with the slogans raised by unemployed youths who were demanding jobs as promised by K Chandrasekhar Rao during the fight for a separate state.
