Seven Rachakonda cops recovered from COVID get police band welcome

Hyderabad: Seven policemen received a grand welcome at Rachakonda Commissionerate after recovering from Covid-19. The grand welcome was organized by the Commissioner of Police, Mahesh Bhagwat. The police personnel has been welcomed with the police band amidst applause from the officers. This police personnel was felicitated by police officers of Rachakonda.

All these personnel had contracted the virus while on duty. The personnel belongs to police stations of Balapur, Medipally, Malkajgiri, Yadagirigutta. The police personnel expressed their gratitude.

“The Commissioner called each of us personally and instilled confidence in us. He ensured that all of us were provided the best of treatment and also pursued the treatment right from the date of detection,” said the police personnel who got discharged from the hospital.

They also said that their families were happy with the gesture of the police officer sending Chyawanaprash, dry fruits, and medicine kits after discharge from hospital and isolation.

Mahesh Bhagawat, while addressing this personnel, said, “all these officers have been mentally strong with the support of their families and strong will power. They have overcome the disease and joined the duty.” The commissioner also mentioned that the personnel who are undergoing treatment will also emerge victoriously.

Rachakonda police conducted a medical examination of officers with comorbidities and 20 of them were given rest.

The Commissioner asserted that there will be a strong implementation of the Disaster Management Act for not wearing masks and not maintaining the physical distance. He asked the citizens to inform about such cases to 100 or on WhatsApp 9490617111.

On Sunday, a case was booked on a supermarket in Kushaiguda police station for neglecting physical distancing. The CP also warned those in home isolation to strictly follow the guidelines.

He asked the citizens to exercise self-restraint and adapt to the new pattern of living.
