7-year-old boy found murdered in AP welfare hostel's bathroom

Vijayawada : A Class III student studying in the Government BC Welfare Hostel at Challapalli was found murdered on Tuesday. The victim was identified as Dasari Aditya, 7. He was found by the students near the hostel washroom in a pool of blood with his throat cut.
Police suspect family rivalry to be the reason and are questioning the hostel warden and the students. Police said, “The boy might have been gagged before he was killed in the early hours of Tuesday.”
The Balala Hakkula Sangham (BHS) has appealed to the director general of police, D. Gautam Sawang for a speedy investigation into the murder and to ensure that the other hostel students are counselled. They also demanded action on the hostel warden.
The incident has triggered panic among the students and parents.
