Signature of Principal Secretary to Chief Minister forged, police investigate

Hyderabad: Principal Secretary to Chief Minister of Telangana S Narsing Rao complained with Central Crime Station of Hyderabad police. He stated that his letterhead with his signature was forged, for regularising a land in dispute. The property is located in Serilingampally on the outskirts of Hyderabad and belongs to a registered housing society group.

While processing documents of the land during the regularisation process, revenue authorities noticed a letter signed by Narsing Rao, asking officers to clear the file without any delay. The authorities checked with Narsing Rao’s office and found that no such letter was issued. Realising that unidentified people forged his signature, Rao lodged a complaint with police.

Earlier, several fraudsters, whose lands were being regularised by revenue authorities, used Narsing Rao’s name and signatures to speed up the process. However, no one was arrested. Similar cases were registered at Madhapur, Rajendra Nagar, and other areas in the city.
