Hyderabad: After Me Too movement, famous playback singer Chinamayi Sripaada has embarked on a new journey to help the daily wage workers who have been hit by the COVID lockdown.

She took to social media announcing that she has been flooded with requests to dedicate a song to their dear ones. The singer said she is going to channel these requests for a good cause by making them donate to the less fortunate.

"I have been asked to sing and send songs/ birthday wishes to people via social media. And have been doing this too. Decided I will do it for charity. I have made a list of people who were dependent on daily income and are badly hit. Transfer money to them… Send me a screenshot and I will video recorded a personalized birthday wish/song and send it to you," she tweeted

Soon after, she was flooded with requests by her fans on how to donate the money. Chinamayi promptly asked them to check their direct message access for the details of people who are in need.

"I have received a lot of requests from yesterday. I have missed a few names because I seem to have not noticed the Twitter Handle correctly. Please DM me once again if you were one amongst those who donated last night and haven’t received the content. Thanks for your kindness." she tweeted
