Hyderabad: Aamir Khan’s first look as Laal Singh Chaddha is out on social media and he looks super impressive as the character. The actor took to Twitter to share his look and captioned it as, “Sat Sri Akaal ji, myself Laal...Laal Singh Chaddha. (sic)”

The actor looks earnest and straightforward in a pink and grey check shirt and grey trousers with a matching pagdi. He also sports a long beard, and overall, he looks fantastic.

Kareena Kapoor Khan has teamed up with Aamir to play the leading lady in this film, which went on floors on November 1 in Punjab. The shoot is taking place in cities such as Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and other towns and villages nearby. Aamir has been growing his beard for some time, and reportedly, he lost 20 kilos to play the younger version of Laal Singh Chaddha.

Laal Singh Chaddha is an adaptation of Forrest Gump, which is Robert Zemeckis’ multiple-Oscar-winning film, released in 1994. The Hollywood film featured Tom Hanks in the titular role, and Robin Wright played an important part. While Advait Chandan of Secret Superstar directs Laal Singh Chaddha, Atul Kulkarni adapted Eric Roth’s original screenplay to the Indian audience. Aamir Khan will co-produce the Hindi adaptation along with Viacom18 Motion Pictures, and they plan to release it in December 2020.

Besides, according to information from the grapevine, three Khans – Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan — will be seen together on the screen for the first time. Reportedly, they will be doing an important scene that has been adapted from the Hollywood movie, and while Shah Rukh has given his nod and Salman is yet to reply.

Aamir had unveiled the logo of the film a few days ago. The short clip has music composed by Pritam’s and shows a feather flying in the sky. He captioned the video: “Kya pata hum mein hai kahani, ya hai kahaani mein hum… (sic)”
