Somesh Kumar directs revenue officials to ensure hassle-free registration on Dharani

Hyderabad: Telangana chief secretary Somesh Kumar, on 27 October, instructed revenue officials to ensure hassle-free registration and mutation services through the Dharani Portal.

During a training programme organised for the officials and staff of the revenue and registration departments on Dharani, the chief secretary said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will launch the portal on 29 October.

He appealed to the revenue officials to successfully implement the Dharani Portal by providing simple, transparent, and speedy services. He said that under the portal, registration and mutation would be completed immediately. Dharani will become a trendsetter in the country, he added.

Mr. Kumar gave a powerpoint presentation on the functioning of the portal and explained slot booking, citizen open portal, successor modules, and partition modules to the officials. He also explained in detail the roles and responsibilities of tehsildars and data entry operators.

The chief secretary observed that the role of the revenue department would increase manifold as they would henceforth function as joint sub-registrars. He urged the revenue employees to work as a team and said the government is committed to resolving issues pertaining to the revenue department

A state-level control room will be set up to address the technical issues, he said, adding that a district-level technical support team would resolve issues arising at the district level. Necessary infrastructure should be in place at all the offices for the purpose, he said.
