Sri Mukhi Builders in Kondapur fined Rs 1 lakh for spilling water onto road

Hyderabad: Sri Mukhi Builders has been fined Rs 1 lakh for pumping cellar water on to the main road at Cyber City Convention, Kondapur.

The water accumulation had resulted in inconvenience to the public and damage to the property.

Cyberabad Traffic police held a joint inspection with the GHMC officials at the site and warned the builder against spilling water on the Khanamet towards Kondapur road near the Cybercity convention.

However, the builder paid no heed to the suggestion. “For the second time, water from the cellar was spilled onto the road hampering the traffic flow. There is a possibility of road accidents,” said Cyberabad cops.

A written complaint was also filed before GHMC authorities along with photocopies for necessary action against Sri Mukhi Builders. Later they were slapped with a fine of Rs.1 lakh.

Cops have warned the violators of stern action. “People, who cause damage to public roads and hamper traffic movement, will be dealt with sternly. Further, cases will be booked against such building owners as per law” said Madhapur Police Inspector.

Cyberabad Traffic cops have also issued dos and do nots so that there is no inconvenience to people.

1. Public are requested not to leave the water on roads.

2. Strict action would be taken on the owners.

3. Vehicle drivers are advised to be alert while driving the vehicle.
