Sri Ram Sene Leader announces 3 Lakh bounty for killing Amulya Leona

Hyderabad: In a controversial statement, a right-wing group Sri Ram Sene member said that the organization will award Rs 10 lakh to anyone who kills the student protestor Amulya Leona, who was charged with sedition for saying Pakistan-Zindabad in a Bengaluru event.

In an event at Bellary, a Sri Ram Sena Leader who identified himself as Sanjeev Maradi, made this statement. In a statement to the media, he said, “I request the government not to release Amulya Leona, a student who shouted Pakistan Zindabad in bail. If she is released in bail, we Sri Ram Sena will reward Rs.10 lakh to anyone who kills her.”

This is not the first time that the Sri Ram Sena is making such a statement. Earlier in January, Siddalinga Swami, another member of the right-wing group announced Rs. 3 Lakh bounty for anybody who cut the tongues of the three Kashmiri students who were arrested under sedition charges for allegedly raising pro-Pakistan slogans.

Amulya Leona is a 19-year-old student from a college in Bengaluru. In a rally organised by All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi, she said, ‘Pakistan Zindabad, Hindustan Zindabad. The difference between Pakistan Zindabad and Hindustan Zindabad is....” She was dragged out of the stage before she could complete her statement.
