Hyderabad: An 18-month-old German Shepherd that went missing, was traced and rescued by police at Chandrayanagutta in the city. Clues from CCTV cameras helped police trace the pet in less than four hours.

Jyotinder Singh, a businessman from Kesava Giri at Chandrayanagutta, owns a German Shepherd. On Monday morning, he could not find his pet at home and when he asked his family members about it they said that they hadn't seen him since morning. Worried, Singh searched for his pet but was unable to find him anywhere.

Later in the day, he lodged a complaint with the police. The Chandrayanagutta police formed two special teams headed by two sub-inspectors to trace the missing dog.

Police teams started analysing CCTV footage from cameras in the surrounding areas and traced the pet. With the help of clues, they rescued the pet and handed it back to its owner.
