Hyderabad: A disciplinary action has been taken against Raj Bhavan Govt School headmaster Suman, who had allegedly given Transfer Certificates (TC) to about 30 students for poor performance.

Based on the allegations, the headmaster was going against the Right to Education Act. Therefore, disciplinary action was taken against him, and he was transferred until inquiry completed, said T Vijay Kumar, Commissioner and Director of School Education in Telangana.

Reportedly, VAS Karunasree, GHM Esamia Bazar, has been posted to Rajbhavan school by the DEO. She will perform duties full time at Rajbhavan from now onwards. Meanwhile, the students who were given TC by the former HM will be re-admitted if their parents are still willing.

The DEO has taken this action after 30 students in government High School in Raj Bhavan were issued Transfer Certificates (TCs) in the middle of the academic year. Child rights activists had alleged that the school authorities had issued TCs to the students due to poor performance.
