Sujana, Kanna most corrupt, I can prove their frauds: Vijay Sai Reddy

Visakhapatnam: Rajya Sabha MP and YSRCP leader V. Vijay Sai Reddy launched a tirade against BJP leaders K. Sujana Choudhary and Kanna Lakshminarayana on 21 April. He said he could prove that the BJP Rajya Sabha member had swindled banks and alleged that the BJP state president, Kanna, had taken money from former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to attack the YSRCP government.

Mr Reddy was replying to the BJP leaders' allegations regarding the purchase of rapid-testing kits from South Korea and the role of Pragati Bharati Charitable Trust.

Calling Mr Choudhary an "epitome of corruption", Mr Reddy said the BJP leader had floated several fake companies and drew thousands of crores of rupees from the banks. He transferred money from one company to another and declared bogus turnover.

He called the BJP's state president Kanna the "mole" of TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu. Mr Reddy alleged that Mr Kanna had allegedly swindled all the funds sent by the BJP in the last general elections. "Will Kanna explain how much he spent in Guntur constituency or how much was given to Puirendeswari? Did he inform the party headquarters of the money spent in the elections?" he asked.

The YSRCP leader also alleged that Mr Kanna had taken Rs. 20 crores from Mr Chandrababu Naidu to launch a tirade against the YSRCP government. He also did not spare the former Chief Minister. "He (Naidu) is beginning to suffer from Alzheimer’s disease and is repeatedly raking up the issue of the state capital and alleging that the government is hiding statistics about COVID-19. We are determined to make Visakhapatnam the capital and no one can stop it,’’ he said.

On Pragathi Bharati Charitable Trust, he said only members contribute to the funds and it has never collected funds from private individuals or organisations.
