Hyderabad: A suspicious explosion in a scrap store in Suryapet district of Telangana on Friday morning left a worker dead. Two more sustained injuries in the incident. Police along with clues team and a bomb squad rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.


On Friday morning, as the workers began their day’s work segregating scrap, an explosion was triggered at the store located near GV function hall in Suryapet town. Around five persons were at the scene when the explosion took place.

Ramachandra Thakur one of the workers inside the store died on the spot and two others sustained burns. The other two workers at the site escaped unharmed.

Senior police officials visited the spot and have begun a probe. Further investigations are underway, they said.
