Techie unable to continue job according to his parents wish, ends life

Visakhapatnam: A techie, who was made to continue his job against his wishes, allegedly committed suicide at a private hostel in KPHB colony in the city. Gudla Venkata Naga Chaitanya from Vizag in Andhra Pradesh was found hanging in his hostel room. He also left a suicide note which stated that he was working at his current job only because his family wanted him to, whereas he, on the other hand, did not want to continue working at the software firm.

Chaitanya was residing in a hostel on Road no 3 for more than a year. Two months ago, he got a job in a software firm at Jubilee Hills. On Thursday, after returning from work, he confined himself in his room. He was alone in his room as his roommates were away.

On Thursday night a friend from the adjacent room came to sleep in Chaitanya's room, but as the room was locked from the inside, he went back. On Friday morning also, when he was not seen, they called him over the phone, but there was still no response.

Worried, they informed the hostel management and broke open the door and found Chaitanya hanging from the ceiling.

Police suspect that he was depressed due to his job. A case is registered and the body was shifted for postmortem.
