Telangana CM KCR to dine with US President Trump

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has been invited by President Ramnath Kovind to attend the dinner he will be hosting for United States President Donald Trump, who will in India on February 24 and 25.

KCR will join seven other Chief Ministers for the dinner. His counterparts include Maharashtra’s Uddhav Thackeray, Haryana’s Manohar Lal Khattar, Odisha’s Naveen Patnaik and Karnataka’s BS Yediyurappa.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host lunch and Ramnath Kovind will host dinner for the American President on February 25.

American President will be arriving in Ahmedabad on an Air Force plane at 11 am on February 24. Prime Minister Modi himself will invite the Trump couple there. Modi and Trump will then arrive at Motera Stadium via a road show.

Trump will spend 15 minutes at the Sabarmati Ashram. From there, the “Namaste Trump” program, set up at Motera Stadium, will arrive at 12:30 p.m. Both Trump and Modi will address the event. Motera Stadium has a seating capacity of 10 lakhs. The Gujarat government is spending nearly Rs 100 crore for a three-hour tour of Ahmedabad.
